Who, How, When bhagwan Ram Ji, Welcome to Ayodhya, A world of assurance !!!

Bhagwan Ram, also known as Lord Rama, is a significant figure in Hinduism and is considered the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. The story of Lord Rama is primarily documented in the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana, written by Sage Valmiki.

Who: Bhagwan Ram is believed to be the son of King Dasharatha of Ayodhya and Queen Kaushalya. He is the husband of Sita and is often depicted as a symbol of righteousness (dharma) and ideal leadership.

How: According to the Ramayana, Lord Rama’s birth is associated with a divine event. King Dasharatha performed a yajna (sacrificial ritual) to obtain offspring, and as a result, the gods blessed him with the divine nectar of immortality (amrita). This nectar was then shared among his three queens – Kaushalya, Kaikeyi, and Sumitra. As a result, Rama was born to Kaushalya, Bharata to Kaikeyi, and Lakshmana and Shatrughna to Sumitra.

When: The exact timing of Lord Rama’s birth is celebrated as the festival of Rama Navami, which usually falls in March or April of the Gregorian calendar. The Ramayana doesn’t provide a specific date, but it is believed to have occurred in the Treta Yuga, which is one of the four epochs in Hindu cosmology.

The life of Lord Rama is characterized by his adherence to dharma (righteousness), his exile to the forest for 14 years, the abduction of his wife Sita by the demon king Ravana, and the eventual rescue of Sita with the help of his loyal companion Hanuman. The narrative of Lord Rama’s life and teachings has been widely revered and continues to be an integral part of Hindu philosophy and culture.

Ayodhya is an ancient city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It holds immense religious and cultural significance in Hinduism. Ayodhya is particularly renowned as the birthplace of Lord Rama, one of the incarnations of the god Vishnu, according to Hindu mythology.

Ayodhya: The city is prominently mentioned in various ancient texts, including the Ramayana, which narrates the life and adventures of Lord Rama. Ayodhya is described as a prosperous and well-planned city in these texts.

In the 1990s, Ayodhya gained global attention due to the Ayodhya dispute, a contentious issue centered around a religious site known as the Babri Masjid. The mosque was built in the 16th century by the Mughal emperor Babur on a site believed by Hindus to be the birthplace of Lord Rama. The dispute led to communal tensions and, in 1992, the Babri Masjid was demolished by a group of Hindu activists. The incident sparked widespread unrest and had far-reaching political and social implications.

In recent years, efforts have been made to resolve the Ayodhya dispute and promote communal harmony. In 2019, the Supreme Court of India ruled that the disputed land should be given to a trust to build a Hindu temple, while an alternative piece of land should be allotted for the construction of a mosque. This decision aimed to bring closure to the long-standing dispute and foster peace between different religious communities.

New Temple: the construction of the new Ram temple in Ayodhya, India, was underway. The construction of the temple began after the groundbreaking ceremony (bhoomi pujan) held on August 5, 2020. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rama, a significant figure in Hinduism, and it holds immense religious and cultural significance. The construction of the temple follows a Supreme Court verdict in 2019 that granted the disputed land to a trust for the construction of the Ram temple, while also allocating an alternative piece of land for the construction of a mosque.

The new Ram temple is being built by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which was established to oversee the construction and management of the temple. The temple’s design is inspired by classical Indian architecture and follows the principles outlined in the ancient Hindu scriptures.

Jai Shree RAM.
