Payment Network Requirements & Best Practices

MasterCard®

  • Consider fraud prevention tools and MasterCard SecureCode®
  • Transaction amount must match the value of the products and services in an individual shipment, including any additional charges for postage, packing, etc.
  • If the purchase will be delivered in multiple shipments:
  • The Merchant must notify the Cardholder and ensure that the combined amount of all shipments does not exceed the total purchase amount agreed to by the Cardholder
  • The Merchant must obtain the Cardholder’s agreement to any increase in the purchase amount as a result of multiple or partial deliveries
  • Each shipment, and any increase to the original agreed upon purchase amount, must be processed by the Merchant as a separate authorized transaction
  • If the products or services purchased are not available at the time of the transaction:
  • The Merchant must advise the Cardholder that their order will not be delivered within the time frame originally disclosed and agreed to with the Cardholder
  • The Merchant must obtain the Cardholder’s agreement to a delayed delivery, specifying the anticipated delivery date and giving the opportunity to the Cardholder to cancel, before proceeding with the transaction
  • The information provided on any email acknowledgment of the Cardholder’s order must comply with the transaction receipt

VISA®

  • Merchant that primarily operates from a personal residence must include the city, state/province and country of its Permanent Establishment, but is not required to provide the residence address
  • Merchant must not display the full Account Number to the Cardholder online
  • In addition, on an Online Gambling Merchant’s homepage or payment page, all of the following must be included:
  • The statement “Internet gambling may be illegal in the jurisdiction in which you are located; if so, you are not authorized to use your payment card to complete this transaction.”
  • A statement of the Cardholder’s responsibility to know the laws concerning online gambling in the Cardholder’s country
  • A statement prohibiting the participation of minors
  • A complete description of the rules of play, cancellation and pay-out policies
  • A statement recommending that the Cardholder retain a copy of transaction records and Merchant policies and rules

American Express®

  • Merchants must provide to customers the option to decline being included in marketing campaigns or having their personal information included on lists sold to third parties
  • The website must not contain libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or profane material or any instructions that may cause harm to any individuals or to the American Express Brand

UPI®

  • Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is a revolutionary payment system in India that allows users to transfer money instantly between bank accounts using their smartphones. It has gained immense popularity due to its convenience, speed, and security features. However, to ensure a smooth and secure UPI experience, users must follow certain guidelines.
  • Firstly, it’s crucial to keep your UPI PIN confidential and never share it with anyone. This PIN is used to authorize transactions and sharing it can lead to unauthorized access and potential fraud. Additionally, always use secure and updated UPI apps from authorized sources to make transactions. These apps often provide multi-factor authentication (MFA) options, such as OTPs or biometric verification, which add an extra layer of security.
  • When making UPI transactions, always verify the recipient’s details carefully, including their UPI ID, mobile number, or bank account number, to avoid sending money to the wrong person. Double-check the transaction amount to ensure accuracy before confirming.
  • It’s also essential to stay vigilant against phishing attempts and fraudulent activities. Be cautious of unsolicited emails, SMS, or calls asking for your UPI details or personal information. Never click on suspicious links or provide sensitive information in response to such communications. If you encounter any suspicious activity or unauthorized transactions, report them to your bank or UPI service provider immediately.
  • To further enhance security, keep your mobile device’s operating system and UPI apps updated. Use strong passwords or biometric authentication to secure your device and UPI apps. Regularly monitor your bank statements or transaction history within the UPI app to detect any unauthorized transactions promptly.

Refund Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 7 days from delivery date. If 7 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed within 7 days, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a above mentioned amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at feedback@answerwala.com and send your item to: {physical address}.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to shipper address as mentioned on bill.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Cancellation clause

At answerwala.com, we value transparency and clear communication in all our client relationships. Our cancellation policy is designed to ensure fairness and mutual understanding between our entity and our clients. Which includes the below mentioned areas to look in consideration of consultation.

  1. Period: Clients are required to provide a minimum notice period of 1 week before canceling any consultancy services. This period allows us to reallocate resources and minimize any disruptions to ongoing projects.
  2. Cancellation Fees: In the event of cancellation, a cancellation fee may apply based on the stage of the project and work completed. The fee structure is outlined in the consultancy agreement and may be a percentage of the total contract value or a fixed amount. And will be refunded to the client within 7 days, post reception of cancellation contract.
  3. Refunds: Refunds for canceled services will be considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the work already completed and any expenses incurred by our firm up to the cancellation date. Refunds, if applicable, will be prorated accordingly in the stipulated time of 7 days.
  4. Rescheduling: Clients may request to reschedule consultancy services instead of canceling outright. We will work closely with clients to accommodate their new timelines or adjust the scope of services as needed.
  5. Force Majeure: In the event of force majeure circumstances, such as natural disasters, government actions, or other unforeseen events beyond our control, both parties may agree to terminate the contract without penalties. Alternative arrangements or adjustments to the contract terms may be considered in such situations.

Please note that the terms of our cancellation policy are subject to the specific details outlined in the consultancy agreement signed between answerwala.com and the client. We encourage open communication and encourage clients to reach out to us with any questions or concerns regarding our cancellation policy.
